Maggie Owens, MSW

Maggie Owens, MSW, comes to Bloom Health Centers passionate about helping others in their journey to better mental health. Maggie graduated from Old Dominion University in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a minor in Human Services. After undergrad, Maggie began her master's program with George Mason University, where she received her Master of Social Work, specializing in Children, Youth, and Families, in 2023.

Professional Background and Expertise

During her practicum experience in grad school, Maggie worked as a School Social Worker Intern with Loudoun County Public Schools in 2022-2023, a social work intern with the GMU Medication Assisted Treatment Clinic in 2022, and a social work intern with the Behavioral Health Team (Fairfax-Falls Church CSB) at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center in 2021.
